Jawaharlal Nehru University, known as JNU, is situated in a bush forest on a ridge of the Aravalli hills with about 1000 acres in New Delhi. It is mainly a research based postgraduate University. It is organized in ten Schools (each has several Centers) and four independent Special Centers. It offers lots of courses at postgraduate level. Its engineering programs are very popular among students. It offers M. Tech, M.Sc, PhD programs. It has School of Information Technology, Centre for Biotechnology and School of Computer & Systems Sciences. JNU Engineering Admissions Criteria: Admission to its various programs is strictly based on merit and the Entrance Exams are very tough due to lots of candidates sit to get admitted in it. Its Admission process starts in February March and ends in July/August. Its admission criteria depend on its various engineering programs. For its M.Sc / M.Tech program, candidates should have B.Sc / B.Tech or any Bachelor degree with at least 55% marks in Science or Technology and for its PhD and research programs, candidates should have postgraduate degree in Science or technology.
