All India Engineering Entrance Exams

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, an affiliating and teaching University, aims to promote studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education. It focuses on professional education in engineering, technology, architecture, management, medicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing, education, law, journalism and mass communication, etc. It organizes the Common Entrance Test for admission to its engineering and technology courses.

IPU CET 2011 Application Form:
The application forms for the entrance tests will be available at certain branches of the Punjab and Sindh Bank on payment of Rs. 750 and at the counter. The filled up forms must be sent to the office address by speed or registered post.

IPU CET 2011 Eligibility:
Candidates who want to appear at CET should have obtained a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in their 10+2 system examinations of CBSE or an equivalent board. Candidates should not be more than 21 years as on August 1, 2011. There is relaxation for reserved candidates according to the government rules.

Date of Entrance: 23rd May, 2011 (Sunday)
Time of CET - 02.00 - 04.30 p.m
Date of result - 03 June, 2011 (Thursday)
B.Tech, Date of CET - 05 June, 2011 (Saturday)
Time of CET - 02.00 - 04.30 p.m
Date of result - 17 June, 2011 (Thursday)

The Common Entrance Test paper for engineering will be of objective type questions for two and a half hours. The test paper will cover Maths (33.33%), Physics (33.33%) and Chemistry (33.33%).
